The Role

As a Site Administrator, you will provide admin support to facilitate the smooth and effective running of a project in Ascot.

Supporting staff and liaising with external contractors, you will contribute to internal communication and office maintenance.

Additionally, you will:

- Assist with maintaining the office management filing systems, ensuring all data and information is kept up-to-date and accurate
- Ensure the staff noticeboard remains up-to-date with the latest charity updates, policy statements, fire marshals and first aiders.
- Assist with any staff-related administration and coordination of contractor visits
- Attend and minute meetings and distribute minutes and agendas
- Support internal communications
- Maintain records and office documentation

About You

To be considered as a Site Administrator, you will need to demonstrate:

- Excellent verbal, written communication, literacy and numeracy skills with a focus on accuracy and professionalism in all correspondence.
- Ability to manage time and workload effectively.
- Strong organisational qualities and attention to detail with skills in general administration, document management and record keeping.
- Good IT competency in Microsoft Office suite with good typing skills.
- A drive for continued improvement and the willingness to learn new software.
- A good telephone manner and interpersonal skills.
- Good command of the English language.
- Confidence to deal with all levels of staff.
- Ability to patiently learn and develop whilst forming strong internal and external relationships.
- Experience of working as an administrator in the construction industry desirable, but not essential.

The Role

As a Commercial Manager, you will manage the overall performance and day-to-day operations of the project commercial team.

You will manage and, as appropriate, be operationally involved with the surveying and commercial functions of a single large project, several smaller projects and/or a two-stage tender.

Optimising project profitability and cash flow performance, you will build and maintain good relationships with the client, design team and supply chain and ensure the implementation of health and safety standards.

Additionally, you will oversee, review and manage subcontract procurement on projects under your control, ensuring all procurement is completed to suit construction programme requirements.

About You

To be considered as a Commercial Manager, you will need to demonstrate:

- Relevant experience in the construction sector and knowledge of the complexities involved
- Proven record dealing with several projects of varying value, type and complexity
- Experienced leader with experience overseeing and managing people and teams
- The ability to plan, maintain, control and report on the financial administration of projects
- Knowledge of the commonly used provisions of the Standard Forms of Contract
- Excellent risk mitigation strategies
- The skills to identify, communicate and influence positive and negative commercial trends
- Competency in reading and understanding a construction programme
- The ability to review, understand and challenge construction and pre-construction programmes
- Proficiency in managing a two-stage tender process

The Role

As a Project Leader, you will oversee the consistent delivery of a range of construction projects, by leading the full project lifecycle.

You will develop and implement a project strategic plan and workflow, including contractual obligations and required resources. You will mitigate risk so that projects are delivered safely, within timeframes, within budget and to agreed standards.

Emphasising quality and safety, you will implement a safety-first culture for all staff and sub-contractors, whilst monitoring team compliance with our quality management systems and our client’s requirements.

Additionally, your role will involve:

- Ensuring correct systems are in place to issue design information
- Leading project procurement strategy and delivery
- Implementing commercial and procurement risk mitigation strategies
- Establishing and maintaining excellent communication with stakeholders

About You

To be considered as a Project Leader, you will ideally demonstrate the following:

- Experienced leader with experience overseeing and managing people and teams
- Previous construction experience in heritage would be advantageous
- The ability to plan and maintain an appropriate site set-up for the scale of the project
- The foresight to plan, manage and coordinate all resources needed to deliver the project
- Extensive experience working in operational live environments
- Extensive temporary works, scaffolding and logistics experience
- Knowledge of safe work systems
- Strong knowledge of programme management and control
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
- CSCS, SMSTS and First Aid qualifications

The Role

As a Design Manager, you will manage the design process to deliver technically compliant, cost-efficient and coordinated design packages, during both the pre-construction and project delivery stages.

You will bring together specialist subcontractors, design team members and consultants, creating a collaborative environment to deliver design information that meets our customer’s requirements and conforms to building regulations.

Managing your time on-site across your projects, you will have several key responsibilities:

- Preparing and managing on-time design information release
- Overseeing the timely production and approval of technical drawings
- Chairing design workshops
- Coordinating complex design packages
- Validating and interrogating design details, adding value to the construction process
- Providing expert guidance and technical support, working closely with both clients and project teams to identify and mitigate risks, as well as ensuring compliance with all statutory, legal, and planning requirements
- Preparing, implementing, and updating trackers to monitor the quality, compliance, timely production and progress of consultants and subcontractor design at all project stages
- Following best practice principles through all project stages
- Undertaking design assurance and buildability reviews, ensuring designing deliverables are met and that alignment with commercial strategy is always maintained
- Monitoring risk, converting opportunities and recording, and assessing the impact of change on the project
- Reviewing the selection and scope of suitable subcontractors for specialist design packages
- Ensuring accurate and comprehensive records are maintained
- Managing the production of handover manuals
- Working with our document controllers in the set-up and management of the project’s common data environment
- Overseeing sample, mock-up and control sample production and approval including occasional supplier visits and material selection trips

About You

To be considered as a Design Manager, you will need to demonstrate:

- Proven background of experience in managing the design process on complex projects
- Experience with managing Design and Build or Contractor Design Portions
- Able to attend projects in Central London with occasional travel outside
- An appetite for CPD
- A track record of successfully managing people and process
- Deep understanding of planning procedures, building regulations, listed building consents, CDM Regulations and other third-party requirements
- Knowledge of the commonly used provisions of the Standard Forms of Contract
- The ability to robustly interpret and interrogate drawings and technical specifications
- High attention to detail and quality
- Excellent time management and problem-solving ability
- Understanding of software such as Viewpoint, Revit, BIM Collab or Navisworks
- A relevant professional qualification or working towards (MCIOB, RIBA, RICS)
- Appropriate CSCS card
- A full valid driving licence (desirable)
- A construction-related degree (desirable)

The Role

The role of a Trainee Quantity Surveyor requires the person to:

- Learn how to lead by example in alignment with the core values of Walter Lilly
- Successfully progress and obtain an appropriate academic qualification, with a high level of attendance
- Supplement any external learning courses with experience gained on-site
- Develop and continuously improve surveying skills
- Assist the commercial team in carrying out the day-to-day commercial management of the project
- Contribute and assist in the implementation of good Health & Safety
- Work collaboratively, with an emphasis on integration and teamwork, across all departments in conjunction with the inter-departmental integration of activities scheduled
- Comply with Business Processes and Procedures as defined within the Business Management System (BMS)

About You
