The Role

As a Design Manager, you will oversee the design process for construction projects, delivering technically compliant, co-ordinated, and cost-efficient design packages.

Creating a collaborative environment for all project associates, you will ensure all design information meets customers’ requirements and conforms to building regulations.

You will manage the release of design information and technical drawings, leading design workshops Reviewing and validating design details. Providing technical guidance for each project, you will track the quality, progress, and compliance of designs and conduct design assurance reviews to align the output with commercial requirements.

You will also:

- Monitor risks, manage change impacts, and identify opportunities
- Select and oversee specialist subcontractors
- Produce handover manuals and maintain accurate project records
- Support document controllers with the common data environment
- Oversee samples, mock-ups, and approvals

About You

To be considered as a Design Manager, you will need to demonstrate:

- Proven experience in managing the design process on large-scale science laboratory projects
- Experience of main contractor design management
- Experience with managing Design and Build or Contractor Design Portions
- A track record of successfully managing people and processes
- A deep understanding of UK planning procedures, building regulations, CDM Regulations, and other third-party requirements
- An understanding of software such as AutoDesk, Revit, BIM Collab, or Navisworks
- An understanding of cyber and physical security and discretion and diligence in handling sensitive information
- A relevant professional qualification or working towards (MCIOB, RIBA, RICS)
- An appropriate CSCS card
- The ability to commute to Windlesham

The Role

As a Site Administrator & Document Controller, you will manage document systems and quality processes, ensuring accurate information is distributed across projects efficiently and on time, whilst supporting the Site Managers in all project related administrative duties.

Following our document management procedures, you will undertake thorough document quality checks and register the receipt, upload and distribution of project documentation.

Working closely with design managers, you will assist with the development of workflows, including the approval, implementation and monitoring of these and other contract administration functions.

Additionally, your role will involve:

- Ensuring the correct security protocols and accessibility to the document management system
- Managing queries from subcontractors
- Providing training and guidance on the use of document control systems
- Overseeing the collation and quality assurance of operation and maintenance manuals across the project
- Coordinating meetings and resolving on-site queries
- Maintaining safety documentation and conducting regular compliance checks
- Working closely with the site team, client and subcontractors to ensure the smooth running of the project

About You

To be considered as a Site Administrator & Document Controller, you will need:

- A thorough and process-driven approach
- A record of working with document and contract management software
- Excellent IT skills, including in-depth knowledge of Autodesk Construction Cloud software
- Fantastic interpersonal and communication skills
- Good time management skills
- Experience working on BIM Level 2 projects (desirable)
- Knowledge of ISO-19650
- A Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card (we can help you obtain)

The Role

As an M&E Services Manager (Mechanically Biased), you will manage building services designs, information and sub-contractors for a portfolio of specific projects, from enquiry stage through to handover and aftercare. You will manage the successful integration and delivery of MEP services for your projects, ensuring our supply chain delivers the required benchmarks of Health and Safety, Quality, and programme compliance.

You will be responsible for producing detailed commissioning programmes and managing the entire commissioning process, ensuring seamless integration of all building services.

Additionally, you will take charge of the management and coordination of all utilities installations and related statutory authorities, working collaboratively across all departments in alignment with the Inter-Departmental Integration of Activities Schedule.

About You

To be considered as an M&E Services Manager (Mechanically Biased), you will need to demonstrate:

- Qualifications appropriate to the role
- Ability to obtain/maintain CSCS accreditation
- Extensive MEP technical knowledge and the ability to comprehensively interrogate all technical information, design details and identify potential design issues
- Ability to take responsibility for a complete building or package of works from receipt of design to handover
- Experience working on laboratory fit-outs and large-scale projects and an understanding of the complexities involved with such projects
- An understanding of programming principles and how MEP integrates with the building fabric
- Ability to review, understand and challenge construction and pre-construction programmes and progress reports
- Familiarity with the Walter Lilly Supply Chain members and knowledge of their capabilities and relevant experience
- A clear and concise understanding of CDP requirements, processes and responsibilities
- Working knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and safe working practices
- Working knowledge of temporary services and site logistic requirements
- Experience in successfully dealing with Utility suppliers
- Ability to understand subcontractor’s contractual responsibilities
- An understanding of standard/commonly used contractual provisions
- Sufficient commercial acumen to compare subcontractor submissions against cost plans and identify over-valuation in subcontractor applications
- Ability to identify change and assess the resulting implications
- Ability to prepare professional and accurate technical appraisal documents for submission
- A comprehensive understanding of commissioning access requirements
- Ability to understand the landscape of Walter Lilly clients and consultants, the different roles, their competition and peers
- Ability to understand what information is needed to report internally on relationships and project opportunities
- Good construction knowledge with good knowledge of Walter Lilly standard forms and procedures
- Appropriate level of IT competency with the ability to utilise Walter Lilly systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, inspiring and motivating others in the process
- Willingness to work as part of a team, reporting into lead M&E Manager and Construction team PM

Monitoring project progress, you will provide regular updates to stakeholders, identify risks and propose mitigation strategies, and support reporting and planning activities throughout the project lifecycle.

About You

The Role

As SHEQ Director, you will lead the development and implementation of SHEQ policies and procedures across all projects. You’ll ensure compliance, drive continuous improvement, and foster a culture of safety and quality throughout the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and oversee SHEQ strategy aligned with company goals and regulatory requirements.
