The Role
- Manage the Building Management System (BMS) package for the project, ensuring integration with other systems
- Oversee design reviews for compliance, functionality, and programme alignment
- Monitor installation, commissioning, and handover of BMS systems
- Implement quality assurance processes and maintain accurate documentation (O&M manuals, safety files)
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards on-site
- Track project costs, manage variations, and support commercial teams
- Facilitate structured communication between project stakeholders and attend progress meetings
- Drive energy efficiency and sustainability through effective BMS operation
About You
To be considered as an BMS Manager, you will need to demonstrate:
- Qualifications appropriate to the role
- Ability to obtain/maintain CSCS accreditation
- Strong technical knowledge of BMS platforms and integration with HVAC, lighting, and security systems
- Proven experience in managing BMS packages within large-scale M&E or construction projects
- Ability to interpret and review design drawings and specifications
- Excellent project management skills, including scheduling and resource coordination
- Familiarity with commissioning processes and building regulations
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities under time constraints
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills
- Commitment to health, safety, and quality standards
- Understanding of energy efficiency principles and sustainability targets
