The Role

We are seeking an experienced and driven Construction Manager to lead the successful delivery of state-of-the-art science and research facilities. Working on highly technical, fast-paced projects, you will play a key role in managing construction activities from pre-construction through to completion, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge laboratory, research, and innovation spaces that support world-leading scientific and technological advancement. You will collaborate closely with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams to deliver complex buildings with specialist services and high-performance environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day site operations across complex science and technology construction projects

• Lead and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams to ensure efficient project delivery

• Ensure all works are carried out in line with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards

• Monitor programme performance and proactively manage risks, delays, and site challenges

• Drive high-quality workmanship and ensure compliance with technical specifications and client requirements

• Work closely with project stakeholders, including clients, consultants, and design teams

• Oversee logistics planning, sequencing of works, and site coordination activities

• Support cost control and commercial performance in collaboration with the wider project team

• Chair site meetings and provide regular progress updates and reports

• Promote a collaborative, solutions-focused culture on site

About You

To be considered as a Construction Manager, you will need to demonstrate:

• Proven experience in a Construction Manager role delivering complex building projects

• Previous experience working on science, laboratory, healthcare, pharmaceutical, technical, or high-specification projects is highly desirable

• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, building services coordination, and health & safety legislation

• Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders

• Organised, proactive, and confident in solving technical and operational challenges

• Able to thrive in fast-paced environments while maintaining exceptional attention to detail

• SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid qualifications preferred

• A passion for delivering high-quality, technically advanced buildings that make a meaningful impact

• A full UK driving licence is highly desirable
